Widely recognized as a produce safety and postharvest technology expert, Dr. Trevor Suslow joined the Produce Marketing Association (PMA) from the Department of Plant Sciences at UC Davis, where he is an Emeritus faculty member. Dr. Suslow’s career has focused on quality and safety of whole and fresh-cut produce from pre- to post-harvest. He helped found and was Director of Product Research at DNA Plant Technology Inc., an early agricultural biotechnology pioneer, where he worked for 15 years. Dr. Suslow earned his B.Sc. in Agricultural Sciences, and Ph.D.in Plant Pathology, from UC Berkeley in 1980.

Paul Schrimpf, an award-winning journalist, has been a professional trade journalist for more than 20 years and has worked in the agriculture market since 1998. As executive editor for the Agribusiness Media Group at Meister Media Worldwide, Paul leads an editorial team covering the ag retail distribution channel under the CropLife® brand, the ag technology sector through its PrecisionAg® brand, and the global crop protection and plant health industry through the AgriBusiness Global® brand. Paul holds his B.A. in Communication from Cleveland State University and is frequently asked to speak at meetings on technology in agriculture.

Founded in 1994 and acquired by Meister in 2000, the PrecisionAg brand includes a website at PrecisionAg.com, a bi-monthly magazine, a weekly e-newsletter, a variety of in-person events, and the PrecisionAg Institute. The Institute is a consortium of agriculture companies that is dedicated to facilitating the adoption of precision agriculture products and practices, and promoting the benefits of precision agriculture for improving profitability, sustainability, and efficiency in the farming operation.

Scheid previously worked as an environmental consultant in the disciplines of field hydrology, river systems research and monitoring, watershed planning, GIS, and CAD.
